City of Pirates (1983)

A sleepwalking virgin. A ten-year-old boy who claims to have murdered his entire family. And a castle dweller on a lonely island who may well be that same boy... Madness and desire reign supreme in this dreamlike, hypnotic children's adventure. Director Ruiz wrote the script for this surreal film during filming, immediately after his daily siesta. His dreams, a return to childlike fantasy, became the guiding principle of CITY OF PIRATES.
