Stand By Me (40th Anniversary)

Based on Stephen King’s novella 'The Body', Rob Reiner’s nostalgic coming-of-age film is set in the small town of Castle Rock, Oregon, during the 1959 Labor Day weekend. Twelve-year-old Gordie is struggling to come to terms with the death of his older brother and feels invisible to his grieving parents. When he and his three best friends hear that a missing boy of their own age has been found dead by a remote railway track, they decide to set out to find the body.
