Fucking Åmål (1998)

In the Swedish village of Åmål, life is a bit of a drag for the pretty and popular Elin. Bored with life and longing for excitement, she rebels against everything to do with the village. Another girl at her school, Agnes, has no friends but has a huge crush on Elin. Although people suspect as much, Agnes does everything she can to conceal her lesbian identity as best she can. As the two girls navigate isolation and identity in their own ways, they grow ever closer to one another.
